President Buhari on Wednesday, presented the 2019 Budget in the Joint sitting of the National Assembly Lawmakers.  According to report by Punch, this is the speech delivered by President Muhammadu Buhari to the joint sitting of the National Assembly on the 2019 budget presentation. This is my last Budget Speech to the 8th National Assembly. “Today, we will review economic development over the last three-and-a-half years with emphasis on 2018. File photo: According to Punch report, the palace of Salu of Edunabon, a town in Ife North Local Government Area of Osun State, has been set ablaze by some youth protesting against the new monarch approved by the state government for the town. The new monarch, Oba  Kehinde Oladepo, who  left seclusion in the early hours of Thursday, has been reportedly abducted by the youths. While some sources in the town claimed the monarch was later handed over to the police, others said he was still being held by the youths. Details later…

Man United Appoints  Solskjaer, As Caretaker Manager     Solskjaer                                                                                                      According to reports, Manchester United has appointed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as the caretaker manager until the end of the 2018/19 season. In a tweet on its verified Twitter handle, the football club said, Solskjaer would be joined by Mike Phelan as the first-team coach, together with Michael Carrick and Kieran McKenna. In a statement released by the club on, Solskjær scored 126 goals in 366 appearances for United between 1996 and 2007. Ahead of 2019 Budget Presentation Security Beefed Up At NASS                                                                                    President Muhammadu Buhari According to report, security has been beefed up in and around the National Assembly complex ahead of President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit to present the 2019 Appropriation Bill. Buhari is billed to present the federal budget proposal before a joint session of the Assembly at 11am. The  News Agency of Nigeria  reports that combined teams of security agencies have been deployed at the three entrances into the complex. The entry points are the main gate overlooking the Federal Secretariat, the entrance through the SGF office on Aso Drive and the back gate connecting the Presidential Villa. A  NAN  correspondent at the scene reports that entry into the complex has been limited to accreditation lists submitted by different units in the Assembly. Alex Badeh, Former Chief of Defence Murdered Along Abuja-Keffi Expressway (Graphic Photos)                                                                 Alex Badeh dead body in his car The former Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh (retired.), has been killed. T he retired Air Chief Marshal was shot on the Abuja-Keffi Expressway on his way back from his farm on Tuesday.  According to news, he was shot along with his driver, and two of his aides were also kidnapped by the gunmen after he was killed.
