Tears Rolls: as 18 Passengers Killed In Fatal Road Accident  on Gombe Road  The accident victims    18 persons were reportedly killed yesterday Wednesday, 10th of October 2018 in Gombe state.   According to reports, the victims, residents of the same village of Jimin (Darazo Local Govt of Bauchi state), were on their way to attend a weekly market day of Dukku town of Gombe state before the fatal accident.   Report has it that all the victims were married men, leaving behind various numbers of wives and children.   The corpse of the deceases have already been buried at the Darazo Cemetery in accordance with the Islamic injunctions.

 NIS Comptroller-General Calls for Investigation on Extortion of Travelers. Comptroller-General of Immigration, Mohammed Babandede According  reports from Punch Metro , Muhammad Babandede, the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, has directed an investigation into the alleged extortion of travellers by some officers and men of the NIS. The directive was conveyed via a statement issued by the Service Public Relations Officer, Mr Sunday James, on Thursday in Abuja. The statement said the ports of entry where the extortion was allegedly perpetrated included the Borno axis of Darman-Gubio-Magumeri-Maiduguri Road and the Munguno-Maiduguri Road. “The attention of the Comptroller-General of Immigration, Muhammad Babandede, has been drawn to an alleged extortion by some officers and men of the NIS manning the nation’s ports of entry. “In the light of the above, the Comptroller-General has directed an investigation into the alleged corrupt practice.

Kola Oluwawole,  The lawmaker was impeached this morning in a move reportedly spearheaded by the three All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmakers in connivance with some aggrieved Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members of the House. According to Channels TV, 14 members of the assembly impeached Oluwawole and immediately elected Ebenezer Alagbada to replace him. The lawmakers also removed the deputy speaker and principal officers of the House and also announced the suspension of some members. They cited abuse of office and mismanagement of the resources of the House among other reasons for their actions. Senator Kwankwaso Threatens To Leave PDP   Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso   A source within the party confided to Daily Trust yesterday that the former governor sounded the warning of leaving the party during a meeting held at Legacy House, Abuja.   The meeting, which commenced at 3pm and ended around 5pm, was attended by many PDP stakeholders including Bello Hayatu Gwarzo and Ambassador Aminu Wali among others.   According to the source, the meeting was organised to review the list of aspirants from Kano State.
