Amnesty Office- Ex-agitators to Get Vocational Training in Oil and  Gas –  According to report by Punch, the Presidential Amnesty Office has said that it would soon activate the Oil and Gas Vocational Training Centre in Agadagba, Ondo State, as part of efforts to provide ex-agitators with relevant skills. It explained that beneficiaries of the programme would include those who had yet to be placed in vocational training facilities or deployed for formal education. The Special Assistant on Media to the Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Office, Mr. Murphy Ga‎nagana, who disclosed this to journalists in Benin, Edo State, also said that the Power and Energy Vocational Centre in Bomadi, Delta State, would soon commence operation. Minimum Wage: NLC Backs Out of  Negotiations The Nigeria  Labour Congress, back out of negotiations, on new minimum wage, insists on N30,000 or there will be strike.  Accordingly, the stage seems to be set for a major confrontation between workers and government over new national minimum wage. While organised labour is insisting on N30,000 as new minimum wage, state governors have offered N22,500 as what the states would be able to pay. Addressing a press conference Wednesday, the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Mr. Ayuba Wabba, said that organised labour would maintain its stand on the implementation of N30,000 as new minimum wage and would not accept any move to negotiate it downwards. He said barring any change of position by government, workers would proceed with the planned strike on Tuesday. Two Illegal Gas Stations Sealed in Akwa Ibom By DPR Two illegal Gas facilities have been sailed by DPR, in Akwa Ibom. the Gas Stations is located in private homes. According to report by Punch,the Department of Petroleum Resources has sealed up two illegal gas facilities in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. The gas stations are located in private homes with holes connecting to cylinders kept at the back of the houses. The illegal gas station at Ukana Offot-Duk Vendor has a giant cylinder that had been welded. The Operations Controller, DPR, Akwa Ibom State, Mr Tamunoiminabo Kingsley-Sundaye, on Wednesday, expressed surprise that some people could set up such facilities that were capable of wiping off a whole community just to make quick money. Imo APC: NWC Adopt Sen. Hope Uzodinma, Drops Okorocha's In-law,    Governor Rochas Okorocha   The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Working Committee (NWC),  has adopted Sen.
