Enugu Auto Crash, Three dead, 15 Injured                                                                                       The accident scene  On Friday, t he Police Command in Enugu State  confirmed the death of three persons and 15 others injured in an accident that happened on Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway. The Police Public Relations Officer for the Command, SP Ebere Amaraizu, who made the confirmation in a statement in Enugu said the accident occurred on Thursday at Ogbaku community in Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State on Thursday at 7pm. Amaraizu said that all the dead were women, adding that the accident involved a Mercedez Benz Bus with the registration number ENU 350XZ and a Toyota Hummer Bus registered as XB 205 XPR. He said that the remains of the dead had been deposited at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Ituku-Ozalla, Enugu while the injured were receiving treatment in the hospital. -NAN

Suspected Killers, Of Alex Badeh Arrested by Police  Late Alex Badeh The Nigeria Police Force has arrested five suspects for their alleged involvement in the killing of a former Chief of Defence Staff, Air Vice Marshall Alex Badeh. The, refused to give the names of the suspects, said two out of the five suspects arrested actively participated in the killing. It said the remaining three suspects played other roles that led to Badeh’s murder. The Police however did not parade the suspects claiming that its decision was to prevent other members of the gang from escaping. The Force Spokesman, Ag. DCP Jimoh Moshood made the disclosures at a briefing in Abuja. Moshood also said the postponement of the parade would help the investigators to arrest fleeing members of the gang.
