PPA: We Have Endorsed Sanwo-Olu’s Candidacy, Says PPA Babajide Sanwo-Olu According to report,the Progressive People’s Alliance has denied involvement in the endorsement of the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate for Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, by some opposition parties for 2019. The state chairman of the party, Mr. Olumide Oguntoyinbo, made this known in an interview with the  News Agency of Nigeria  on Monday in Lagos. According to media reports, 45 opposition parties in the state, including Peoples Democratic Movement, Young Democratic Party, Accord Party, New Nigeria People’s Party and Action People’s Party have adopted Sanwo-Olu for the 2019 polls at a meeting on Friday. PPA, Independent Democrats, Legacy Party of Nigeria and People’s Redemption Party were also listed as members of the Coalition of Progressive Political Parties, which endorsed the APC candidate.  Ojukwu's First Son Slumped And Died In Lagos Chief Debe Sylvester Odumegwu-Ojukwu   The First son of the late Head of State of the defunct Republic Chief Emeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu,, Chief Debe Sylvester Odumegwu-Ojukwu, is dead. A member of the family, who confirmed the incident, said he slumped, and lost consciousness last Thursday. He did not regain consciousness until he was pronounced dead on Friday at a private hospital where he was taken to, in Lagos. A condolence register has been opened by the family at the Lekki Phase 1 home of the deceased who was the President-General of Umudim Nnewi Union in Lagos. The deceased, a lawyer and retired Police officer, died at the age of 62. Until his death, he was a prominent figure in some controversies in the family, one of which was the recent questioning of the legality of the late Ikemba of Nnewi’s marriage to Mrs Bianca Ojukwu.  During that controversy, which threatened the unity of the family, Debe had this to say

Nigerian Malaysia Based Man  Shot Dead In Benin After Suspending His Own Wedding Olisemeka Egom   According to a Vanguard report, it was pure tragedy that took place over the weekend for the family of Egom in Benin City as their Malaysian based son, Olisemeka Egom was shot dead after he was said to have suspended his wedding when he discovered that his would-be wife carries three months old questionable pregnancy.   The 34 years old was shot dead in his family residence at Akugbe Street, Off Okunseri Street, Off Dumez road, Sapele road in the state capital in the presence of his father, would-be wife and their three-year old boy.    He was said to have returned home to marry the girl who had a baby boy for him and has been leaving with his parents since he traveled out last year.    “My son and the girlfriend Judith have not been quarreling before, but when my son arrived last August he accused the girl of carrying another man’s pregnancy.   “The girl agr

Nigerian Footballer Reportedly Dies Of Heart Attack During Match In Turkey Ekundayo Ebenezer A 23-year-old Nigerian footballer, Ekundayo Ebenezer Mawoyeka has died, after suffering from cardiac arrest during a match yesterday, in Turkey. He  plays as a striker for the Sarayköyspor football club, collapsed in the 35th minute of his side’s match against YeÅŸilköyspor at the Servergazi Stadium and was rushed to the Servergazi State Hospital where he was confirmed dead.
