According to reports by Punch, the acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu, on Monday refused to answer questions on whether the Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, was on a probe. Magu had invited reporters for a press conference in commemoration of his third year in office. The acting EFCC boss had reeled out the achievements of the anti-graft agency in the last three years including a large number of convictions and recoveries. However, during the question and answer session, Magu was asked to confirm if the EFCC was investigating Ganduje who was allegedly caught on camera collecting kickbacks from contractors. Drunk Pilot Suspended For 3 Years A Pilot has been suspended on because of Drunkenness in India.  According to reports, the India’s air safety watchdog on Monday suspended for three years the license of a senior Air India pilot who failed alcohol tests. “The privileges of his license have been suspended for a period of three years from 11.11.2018 as per the provisions of applicable regulations,” a spokesperson at the Directorate General of Civil Aviation said in a statement. The suspension came a day after Arvind Kathpalia failed two breathalyzer tests before a flight to London from New Delhi.

Hope Uzodinma Arrested For Alleged Breach Of Contract:    Hope Uzodinma   The All Progressive Congress Government candidate for Imo, State, Hope Uzodinma, has been arrested by t he Special Presidential Investigation Panel For Recovery of Public Property said on Sunday  at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.   The Chairman of the panel, Chief Okoi Obono-Obla, said in a short message to a Punch correspondent on Sunday that the panel arrested Uzodinma, the senator representing Imo West Senatorial District, for the failure of his company to execute a contract of $12m for the dredging of Calabar channel.   According to the panel’s chairman, the contract was awarded by Nigerian Ports Authority.   Obono-Obla said Uzodinma had been evading arrest for about a year but was arrested at about 8.20pm at the Abuja airport.   The statement read, “This evening, at about 8.20pm, operatives of the Special Presidential Investigation Panel For Recovery of Publi
