A Notorious Kidnapper Killed By SARS In Rivers State (Photo) The suspected kidnapper Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (F-SARS)  gunned down a notorious kidnapper  along Emohua-Kalabari road in Rivers state.   The Suspect was killed in a shootout with the security operatives who foiled the gang’s operation.   His corpse has been taken to the state police command as efforts are being made to apprehend other fleeing members of his gang.

Just In:  House of Representatives Approve June 12 As Democracy Day                                                                                        Late MKO Abiola According to reports coming in from Abuja, the House of Representatives has approved that June 12 be marked as Democracy Day in Nigeria. The approval followed the adoption of a report on a bill seeking to amend the Public Holidays Act 2004. Considering the report at the plenary on Thursday, the lawmakers approved the amendments to three clauses ‎in the Act, as recommended in the report. One of the clauses deleted May 29 as Democracy Day and replaced the date with June 12. Details later…

Suspected Yahoo Boy Steal Pants For Ritual Purpose  (Watch Video) The suspected yahoo boy A suspected internet fraudster (Yahoo Boy)  was yesterday, apprehended while trying to steal someone's underwear in the Okpella area of Edo state.   In a  video which emerged viral online, the young man was seen confessing that he was introduced to a Hausa man by a mutual friend identified as Collect.    He said that the Hausa man told him that the new secret to getting rich quick,  in ritual is using pants. He said the  Hausa man paid for the motorcycle that brought him to the street where he attempted to steal an underwear before he was apprehended.   Watch the video below

Evans According to reports from Punch, a police officer attached to the Inspector-General of Police Intelligence Response Team, Idowu Haruna, on Wednesday narrated to a Special Offences Court how the alleged billionaire kidnapper, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, alias Evans shot the Chairman of the Young Shall Grow motors, Obianuju Vincent, in an attempt to kidnap him. Haruna told the court that Evans and his gang members shot Vincent and killed two of his escorts. Evans is standing trial alongside his co-defendants – Joseph Ikenna Emeka, 29, Chiemeka Arinze, 39, Udeme Frank Upong , 43 – on seven counts of murder, attempted murder, conspiracy to kidnap and selling of firearms. According to reports by Punch, The House of Representatives has resolved to investigate the circumstances surrounding the protests by members of the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria on Tuesday leading to the picketing of the chambers. The lower chamber of the National Assembly also urged President Muhammadu Buhari to forward the new minimum wage bill, as jointly proposed to him, to the National Assembly for consideration.
