A statement by Ms Sarah  Sanda, the Special Assistant on Media to Foreign Affairs Minister, Geoffrey Onyeama, said this on Monday in Abuja. Sanda stated that the minister presented letter of credence to the new ambassador on Monday in Abuja. She added that before his appointment, Bala was Deputy High Commissioner to the UK. Missing Female DELSU Student Found Dead,   The missing student who was allegedy found dead   A female student, Elozino Ogege, of Delta State University,  who was declared missing about a week ago, has been reportedly found dead with her tongue and breasts missing from her body. Military Troops In Abakaliki Rescued An Abandoned And Malnourished Child Locked Up In A House in Ebonyi State. Army Officer and the Child According to reports by Nigerian Army, the child was discovered during a search-and-rescue operation for a soldier, L/Cpl Oluwabukunmi Fadoju, who has been missing since September 17, 2018. The soldiers got to Onunwakpu in Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State on November 16, 2018, they were said to have discovered the malnourished child locked up in a house. The child was seated on what appeared to be charms and was picking leaves from the ground to eat. The charms were burnt and the child was given some food before he was, thereafter, taken to the Medical Reception Station for treatment.

19-Year-Old Katsina Prison Inmate Dies of Tuberculosis According to Punch reports, a 19-year-old awaiting trial inmate of the Katsina Prison, Isah Ibrahim, has died of drug-resistant tuberculosis. Ibrahim of Unguwar Liman in Sabuwa Local Government Area of Katsina State and one Sanusi Abash of Wurma village in Kurfi Local Government Area of the state were previously arraigned before a Katsina Senior Magistrates’ Court for criminal conspiracy and armed robbery. They were alleged to have violently snatched a motorcycle from the owner along the Gazari/Katsalle feeder road. They were subsequently arraigned “on cognizance” before the magistrates’ court for the offence, which contravenes Section 6B and 1(2) (a) (b) of the Robbery and Firearms Special Provision Act, Cap R 11, 2004, LFN. Web image The Court of Appeal in Abuja, on Friday reduce the 14-year  imprisonment imposed by the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Gudu, Abuja on a former Governor of Taraba State, Jolly Nyame, earlier this year, to 12 years. Justice Abdul Aboki-led three-man panel of the Court of Appeal, in addition to the 12-year sentence, also imposed a fine of total sum of N525m on the convict, a fine that the lower court had omitted while dispensing the earlier sentence.

Corpses Of Two Naked Ladies Found Dumped By The Roadside With Organs Cut-off (Graphic Photos)   Corpses of the two ladies   The naked body of the corpses of two ladies with their organs missing was found by, the residents of Loum village in Umunze, Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State, along Umunze-Abia expressway.   According to a shocking report by Orient Weekend, the corpses were discovered by farmers on their way to farm before alerting Umunze vigilante group who subsequently invited police operatives that later evacuated them.    One of the vigilantes who saw the bodies and spoke to a correspondent, said, “the corpses were lying by the expressway way after Federal Government College of Education, Technical, Umunze, just at the entrance of the path­way to Loum villagers’ farms. “We were alerted by the farmers that made the discovery in the morning.
