Enugu Auto Crash, Three dead, 15 Injured                                                                                       The accident scene  On Friday, t he Police Command in Enugu State  confirmed the death of three persons and 15 others injured in an accident that happened on Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway. The Police Public Relations Officer for the Command, SP Ebere Amaraizu, who made the confirmation in a statement in Enugu said the accident occurred on Thursday at Ogbaku community in Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State on Thursday at 7pm. Amaraizu said that all the dead were women, adding that the accident involved a Mercedez Benz Bus with the registration number ENU 350XZ and a Toyota Hummer Bus registered as XB 205 XPR. He said that the remains of the dead had been deposited at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Ituku-Ozalla, Enugu while the injured were receiving treatment in the hospital. -NAN

Suspected Killers, Of Alex Badeh Arrested by Police  Late Alex Badeh The Nigeria Police Force has arrested five suspects for their alleged involvement in the killing of a former Chief of Defence Staff, Air Vice Marshall Alex Badeh. The, refused to give the names of the suspects, said two out of the five suspects arrested actively participated in the killing. It said the remaining three suspects played other roles that led to Badeh’s murder. The Police however did not parade the suspects claiming that its decision was to prevent other members of the gang from escaping. The Force Spokesman, Ag. DCP Jimoh Moshood made the disclosures at a briefing in Abuja. Moshood also said the postponement of the parade would help the investigators to arrest fleeing members of the gang. Dress Code: UNILORIN Inaugurates Committee On The Enforcement Of It.                                                                                            University of Ilorin According to reports the University of Ilorin says it has constituted a committee to look into the modalities for the enforcement of a dress code for members of staff and students of the institution. Dr Rasheed Jimoh, the Dean of the Faculty of Communication and Information Sciences made this known in a statement made available to newsmen in Ilorin. Jimoh noted that the faculty would rely on the contributions and commitment of members of the committee toward ensuring total compliance with the university’s dress code, to guard against indecent dressing on campus. Man Beaten After He  Was Caught Trying To Escape With A Day-old Baby In Abia State (Photo) The suspect   A 50-year-old man has been beaten mercilessly  after he tried, to escape with a day-old baby. Soldiers attached to 144 Battalion, Ohafia, Abia State have arrested Samson J. Enweriji for allegedly being in possession of a day-old baby. Enwereji, 50, is said to hail from Isiala-Ngwa South Local Government.   According to The Nation, the suspect was arrested following a tip-off, while attempting to escape with the baby. He was reportedly beaten.   The soldiers, who were suspicious, flagged down Enwereji who was in a black Toyota Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) with two women.   It was gathered that during a search, the two women escaped from the vehicle, but the day-old baby was found in their abandoned handbag with N84,000.00.   Also found on the suspect was N13,000.00, and placenta of a baby in a polythene bag.   A source said personnel of the 144 Batta

Boko Haram Leader And Abuja Bomber, Umar, Arrested In Lagos (Photo)   Umar   Boko Haram leader and alleged mastermind of the Kuje and Nyanya, Abuja bombings in 2015, Umar, has been finally arrested by operatives of the Inspector-General of Police Special Response Team (IRT) in Lagos. File photo: According to Punch report, the palace of Salu of Edunabon, a town in Ife North Local Government Area of Osun State, has been set ablaze by some youth protesting against the new monarch approved by the state government for the town.
