Nigerian Army Discovers Militia Training Camp In Rivers Community                                                                  File photo: Soldiers in the Niger Delta According to reports, the 6 Division Nigerian Army in Port Harcourt says it has discovered an illegal militia training camp inside a Rivers community. Col. Aminu Iliyasu, spokesman of the division, told the  News Agency of Nigeria  on Thursday in Port Harcourt that soldiers had taken over the camp. He said the illegal camp was discovered by troops, who were on routine surveillance of the NYSC Orientation Camp in Nonwa Gbam, Tai Local Government Area of the state. “The troops on routine surveillance discovered the illegal militia training camp in the area. We met over 100 recruits undergoing military type of training inside the camp,” he said. A video which emerged online on Thursday and went viral on social media has shown the moment a young female student reportedly 'ran mad' immediately after coming down from a Lexus SUV.    The person who shared the video on his Twitter handle, @honey_blackie wrote;  "When they say stay with your broke boyfriend,ladies won’t listen…Guys are desperate ladies beware…This happened today at Ijebu-ode after she got down from a Lexus jeep." The lady has been identified simply as Blessing, and she was said to be a student of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba in Ondo state. She was later tied up by people around after taking her public displays to another level and causing disturbance.

Military Troops In Abakaliki Rescued An Abandoned And Malnourished Child Locked Up In A House in Ebonyi State. Army Officer and the Child According to reports by Nigerian Army, the child was discovered during a search-and-rescue operation for a soldier, L/Cpl Oluwabukunmi Fadoju, who has been missing since September 17, 2018. The soldiers got to Onunwakpu in Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State on November 16, 2018, they were said to have discovered the malnourished child locked up in a house. The child was seated on what appeared to be charms and was picking leaves from the ground to eat. The charms were burnt and the child was given some food before he was, thereafter, taken to the Medical Reception Station for treatment.

19-Year-Old Katsina Prison Inmate Dies of Tuberculosis According to Punch reports, a 19-year-old awaiting trial inmate of the Katsina Prison, Isah Ibrahim, has died of drug-resistant tuberculosis. Ibrahim of Unguwar Liman in Sabuwa Local Government Area of Katsina State and one Sanusi Abash of Wurma village in Kurfi Local Government Area of the state were previously arraigned before a Katsina Senior Magistrates’ Court for criminal conspiracy and armed robbery. They were alleged to have violently snatched a motorcycle from the owner along the Gazari/Katsalle feeder road.
